Participation in the EJets-E2, the brand new Embraer commercial aircraft family, where I was responsible for the Empennage (the rear part of a plane) development, acting as the Design and Build Team Manager and leading a high skilled group of experienced engineers focused on conception/product definitions, planning, scheduling, controlling and manufacturing this airplane part.

Led several projects geared towards new product developments which enhanced the Embraer Jets family competitiveness via new functionalities. Major activities: - Prepare and present business scenarios to assist the board of VPs from Commercial Aviation Business Unit on decision making processes; - Preparation of business plans including financial feasibility (ROI, NPV, IRR) for new project candidates; - Controlling schedules, costs (recurring, non-recurring, CAPEX), risks and product requirements.

Deep knowledge in product change process based in wide experience as CCB (Change Control Board) leader in the Embraer Defense & Security Business Unit, evaluating and participating in the deliberation process related to obsolescence issues, improvement requests and product corrections.

Participation on the Lean Manufacturing deployment and VWPS* in Volkswagen Brazil facilities in association with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. *Volkswagen Production System, an integrated initiative in order to improve quality, productivity and reduce manufacturing costs via implementation of the classic quality/lean tools (like FMEA, Standard Work, TPM Equipment Reliability, Kanban Demand Pull, 5S and Visual Management and Mistake-proofing Poka-Yoke).

Main activities: - Elaboration of technical publications; - Experience in customer support activities in the field acting as customer account manager.

A course geared to analysis and design of aircraft structures, including design criteria, structural concepts, loads, metallic and composite materials; static strength, buckling and crippling, durability and damage tolerance; practical design considerations and certification and repairs.

Designed to give aerospace professionals familiarity with current project management techniques. Includes communication, estimating, planning, risk and challenges of the project manager; organizational structures; control and planning of time, money and technical resources.

Specialization course in aeronautical engineering applied to a group of engineers from Embraer. The course was promoted from a partnership between EMBRAER and ITA and had teachers and mentors from ITA and from universities outside of Brazil. The course had around 1500 hours of training.
