Galimzhan Yessenov

Galimzhan Yessenov is a businessman and donor who is the Founder of the Shakhmardan Yessenov Science and Education Foundation, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Jusan Bank, one of Kazakhstan’s major commercial banks. He is passionate about the power of sport in growing healthy communities, and organizes mass participatory sport events including the Almaty Marathon, one of Central Asia’s largest sporting events. Galimzhan Yessenov has been closely involved with a range of other organisations including the Chess Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation and the Central Asian Triathlon Association.
