  JavaScript development for customers in and around Munich. Mostly React, Flux-like state handling and TypeScript/Flow. Projects include work for Uxebu/Prosieben (React/Python/Django), InterNations (Backbone/React), video player development for Glomex (plain JavaScript/TypeScript/React) and video player development for Prosieben (plain JavaScript/TypeScript/React).   Part of the internal development team of InterNations.org. Helped modernising the frontend stack based on customised Backbone as well as the deployment and acceptance testing infrastructure, at the time based on Behat, Selenium, PhantomJS and the Karma test runner. Occasionally I wrote a line of PHP/Symfony for backend services too. In the time I was there, we grew from a small agile development team into a larger team divided into multiple feature/product teams spread over Munich and Vilnius

  On-site project work for customers in Holland using open source tools based on JavaScript, HTML5, XSLT, Python/Django and the CLI. Built up a toolchain with tools and libraries like a custom jQuery clone, a in-browser client-server simulating developer toolkit and specialised debugging tools. Project work includes a web GUI for Verzuimdata (JavaScript/XSLT), website modernisation for RTL (JavaScript/XSLT), weight-loss web platform for Satama/DLVR (JavaScript/Python/Django) and more.

  Before AJAX and jQuery, Backbase was already selling a closed-source AJAX/GUI framework. I did project work and consultancy in and outside of the Netherlands using JavaScript and Backbase XML languages. Developed non-technical skills such as team leading, presenting and giving classroom training. I was one of the lead trainers and part of the core training program developers. Pre-sales, project scoping & estimation, sales, architecture, customer relations and technical implementation.

  When Backbase grew from a small to a mid sized company I paused most development work and built a support and training department within the company, being part of the Backbase Professional Services management team. I provided on-site training and 24x7 technical support services to customers worldwide and lead further development of the training material for the different JavaScript and Java based products.
