Working on the optimization of a light activated enzyme to treat diabetes.

Genotyping five different mouse lines. Created a table system to keep track of the incoming samples. Established a system to cut down processing time of the samples by 25 %. Modernized DNA extraction system for four mouse lines. Achieved reliable results through diligently performed polymerase chain reactions and agarose gel electrophoresis analysis for each sample. Documented the findings and decreased false results and repetition through daily reports to address and discuss challenges and opportunities.

Instructor and Coach of a weekly volleyball course for intermediate players offered by the University of Cologne. Prepared exercises for each class. Trained four to 18 students according to their needs. Improved student’s performance and familiarity with the techniques of the sport through individual teaching and coaching. Maintenance of equipment and material. Created a friendly and comfortable learning and play environment. Increased team performance by introduction of strategies and play systems.
