Interim position to cover Purchasing Manager's illness

- To obtain 3rd party and services quotes for the Bid and Proposal team, ensuring the Ts & Cs offered are commercially sound. - To be responsible for the procurement element of allocated indirect spends - Be responsible for analysing the forecast for all company and third party quotations and to map against supply chain capacity - To compare forecast quantities to the supply chain agreements in place and report any anomalies - Monitor and report on all major commodities, currencies and fuel.

Managed the relationship between BAE Systems, On-site supplier reps, MoD Stores and the MoD Avionic Bay to ensure the contracts needs were met. Lead the avionic supply chain support to the Royal Air Force Harrier fleet of 77 aircraft (project value £50 million). Held a portfolio of four UK and International supply chain partners. Met monthly key performance indicator of 90% of demands met within required delivery date over a two year period.

Formulated the Harrier Avionic Availability Service as part of the successful Harrier Supply Chain bid team. Undertook contract negotiations with the down-selected suppliers in concert with the Harrier Procurement team.

Collated and edited the Harrier II Joint Upgrade & Maintenance Programme Gate 3 proposal to form a cohesive document. Provided administrative support to both BAE Systems and MoD project managers within a partnered environment. Organised meetings, conferences and the delegates travel and accommodation requirements Took minutes at meetings.

Reported to the Logistics Manager on the O2 Business As Usual project. Responsible for the creation of Sales Orders, Goods Receipts and Issues, and subsequent invoicing using the SAP R/3 system.

Assisted the Senior Buyer on a temporary basis during a period of change for Meridian Audio. Undertook price challenge project for fabrications and packaging materials. Responsible for overseeing the Kanban system, placing stock and call-off orders, undertaking research into alternative sources of supply and market testing current suppliers.
