• Responsible for on-going technology support of all network systems • Work closely with team on various network and security design, integration, testing and deployment projects • Perform documentation of procedures • Execute change management in accordance with documented procedures • Proactive penetration testing, vulnerability assessment and reporting • Daily analysis and reporting of Firewall Logs • Participate in on-call rotation

• Install and configure software and hardware • Manage network servers and technology tools • Set up accounts and workstations • Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements • Troubleshoot issues and outages • Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls • Upgrade systems with new releases and models • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies • Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

Complete the product development projects within allotted budgets and timelines. Ensure that final products meet customer requirements. Develop process improvements to ensure product quality and productivity. Follow best practices to ensure smooth and continuous product development operations. Communicate new product ideas and concepts to Manager. Maintain training materials for new hires. Review and recommend changes to current product development processes.

Assists with academic research. • Assists with the editing and preparation of manuscripts. • Assists with duties related to the production of academic journals. • Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss research assignments. • Performs research work in archives, through interviews, online, or whatever may be appropriate to assist the assistant’s supervisor.
