As a process planning engineer, determining the work centers for processes and parts according to their constraints is my main responsibility. While assigning the parts and the processes to the optimum work center, making risk, ergonomics, pre-sequence, capacity analyzes are taken into consideration. In addition, supporting SAP transition period and ArbeitsPlan integration for plant Ankara which is used by Volkswagen companies to manage their workflows, integration the JIRA into production are in my tasks.

During my internship, I had worked on line mapping of first L4C busses with CNG, which was the project busses, processes for the mechanical assembly line. I had worked closely with project engineer. I had the opportunity to observe the project follow-up processes and the problems in the production line.

As a senior project student at the company, we worked with my teammates and mentor to create a decision support system at one of the quality points called Green Point3 (GP3). The aim of the study is to process the data from the quality point, to present the processed data to the decision maker and to develop a system that will help the decision-making phase. AHP and TOPSIS algorithms were used within the scope of the study to select the bus in the best condition.

During internship, I had the chance to be closely involved with TPS (lean manufacturing) and Kaizen studies. I learned the interdepartmental work flow and processes of hydraulic cylinder production. It is the company where I did my compulsory internship. After my internship, I had the opportunity to conduct time studies for a while.

It was a short term branch internship which I have had in-depth knowledge about finance / economy and banking, which is one of the foundations of the Industrial Engineering department and one of big business area. During this time, I have gained valuable information about banking, banking terms and working principles of the service sector as a volunteer intern.
