As founder of Wattics, I covered a wide spectrum of activities: from marketing to customer support and software development. As the first software developer of the company, I designed and implemented the first version of most of the backend components for data collection and elaboration system, that were rolled out as a proof of concept to our first 5 customers and was key to our first round of funding. Thanks to my design of the architecture, Wattics can rely on a reliable and scalable IoT platform

The PhD was not completed due the dedication to the start-up Wattics Ltd. Research on new solutions to reduce energy wastage in existing buildings. In particular, the research was focused on developing electrical load disaggregation algorithms, in order to reduce the number of sensors to deploy inside a building in order to monitor its energy consumption. This technological project was the starting point of Wattics and the main reason of the round of funding. The PhD was part of the FIEMSER EU project

Network design and configuration. Operating and troubleshooting medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. My duties included: anticipating security threats and managing wireless networking; technical customer support and technical sales support The job’s activities included the development of Java applications able to interact with databases and network devices

The curriculum was focused on the digital integrated circuits and modern architecture design. In addition, I have gained competences in: operating systems: system programming Unix (Bourne shell); distributed systems: development of a Client-Server applications; internet and wireless communications
