Managing and Production Director of The Word Gym, a small but highly specialised craft company with an impressive international reputation and network partners across Europe and the Asian Pacific.

My job involved analysing the company's management structure, proposing sweeping improvements designed to motivate and retain staff and streamline business processes. I formulated the business plan in collaboration with the MD, organised the IT resource, recruited senior management staff and formulated PR and design briefs to market the company's services. I resigned in order to set up The Word Gym.

I provided guidance on quality control, transactional processes, pricing and discounting structures and client liaison to 9 UK offices and 5 international offices. I managed the Resources department, and supervised quality assurance processes - I was involved in high-level negotiations with major clients whenever quality issues arose. I chaired Production department meetings, advised senior executives and board members on local requirements and registered the company under the Data Protection Act.
