Brinio Hond

Als IT Security Specialist und Datenschutzbeauftragter ist Brinio zuständig für sowohl IT- und Informationssicherheit als auch Datenschutz in der global agierenden Schreiner Group. Informationssicherheitsstrategie, Richtlinien, Mitarbeitersensibilisierung, Audits und Risikoanalyse sind nur einige Themen, mit denen Brinio sich täglich in der Schreiner Group beschäftigt.

IT security advisor in the Information Protection Services department of KPMG. Brinio's focus is on technical IT security services (e.g. penetration testing) and translating identified technical risks to non-technical language for clients.

Brinio finished his Computer Security master's programme by writing his thesis at KPMG NL in the Information Protection Services department. In his thesis Brinio studied parts of the GSM protocol and tested over a dozen of GSM handsets for vulnerabilities in the implementation of the GSM protocol by sending malformed text messages to them. Results included several handsets that could be rebooted remotely and other handsets that would (temporarily) stop receiving text messages.

Teaching assistant for various Computer Science courses, such as logic courses and programming in Java.

Executive Master in IT Auditing (EMITA) to broaden my skillset and improve my IT auditing capabilities. At the same time it helps me to gain a better understanding of the inner workings of IT departments.
