Caron Faherty

Caron Faherty serves as the owner and president of Southern Occupational Therapy Products in Stuart, Florida, Caron Faherty has been an occupational therapist (OT) since 1980. In clinics in Martin and St. Lucie Counties, she performs functional evaluations, often in workers' compensation cases. She is also the inventor of the Rist-Rest, patented, which helps to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome often associated with typing, gaming and musical instruments. Ms. Faherty practiced as an OT for Health Med Systems in Ft. Lauderdale, working with exceptional children. She then moved on to Broward County Elderly Services, then starting an occupational therapy department at Humana Hospital Cypress in Pompano Beach. Two years later she joined National Medical Enterprises as a traveling therapist. Returning to Florida, Ms. Faherty then started the occupational therapy department at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce, growing the department from two to 18 therapists.
