Research assistant under supervision of Professor Andrea Caggese. For a Macrofinance project I analyzed Compustat firm level panel data to document capital misallocation across firms and investigate its relationship with firm productivity. (the paper can be found on https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8qmKFn3LHCYTW5pNkplcHVidDg/view ). In a second project I compiled and analyzed Swedish matched employer-employee data using Stata. Further tasks involved literature reviews, data search and Matlab coding.

  • 5 Monate, Okt. 2015 - Feb. 2016

    Blue-Book Trainee

    Europäische Kommission

I mainly worked on two projects for which I conducted thorough econometric analyses using novel datasets. In the first one I examined the actual use of the preferential duties provided for in EU FTAs by EU exporters. In the other project I assessed the impact of reducing operators' uncertainty in service trade by estimating the effects of binding current levels of trade in service restrictions. The analysis improves upon previous work as it employs the OECD's new service trade restrictiveness index.
