Supporting the execution of reporting responsibilities for the lodging properties across all brands in the continent: business planning, budgeting and forecasting, LRP, operational analysis, cash and working capital management, balance sheet consolidations and financial reporting. Developing and implementing processes necessary to ensure accurate, timely and meaningful sharing of financial information to key stakeholders in continent and at Corporate HQ.

Preparation of foreign entities financial statements and supporting schedules on both local and US GAAP basis of accounting, providing variance analysis. Responsible for the monthly financial close procedures of non-integrated financial data entities, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting deliverables. Improving internal financial reporting for legal entities in Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Russia. Working closely with the Directors of Finance.

Prepared the monthly multi-currency close process for SVO’s international entities, including the monthly foreign currency valuation, the intercompany billing, and the balance sheet reconciliation process. Prepared Intercompany Foreign Packages, Transfer Price and Related Parties for internal and external audit. Provided support for our international tax compliance efforts like ASC 740.

Opened Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Cancun as EC member, built the finance team. Established the SAP accounting process in Mexico. Prepared key deliverables of financial planning cycle (annual operating plan, monthly forecast and financial statement preparation and analysis). Provided financial support and ad hoc analysis to resort Executive Committee leaders and partner with the Ownership division and LATAM division. Standardized and implemented SAP financial best practices throughout the business.
