Responsible for the creation of new technical documentation and translation of existing documentation (German-English). Established and manage a streamlined workflow for localization of software user-interfaces and required documentation for target markets around the world.

Responsible for the substantive editing (improve the language, layout and general flow of the article) or copy-editing (modifying articles accordingly to specific guidelines before type-setting) of peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts.

I authored grant applications for both European and National (German) funding agencies, peer-reviewed articles for a wide range of journals and was responsible for the in-house editing of many manuscripts. In this time I published 3 first- and 1 second-author peer-reviewed publications including Primary Research articles, General Reviews and a Technical Review. Research topic: investigating biogenesis and function of small non-coding RNAs.

Developed a novel fluorescent reporter gene, which was subsequently patented and marketed. Published 2 first- and 1 second-author peer-reviewed articles. Extensive experience in student supervision and teaching. Main research area: The molecular basis of DNA inversion biasing in E. coli.
