Worked as Senior Java EE developer for an IT company that is fully owned by 3 Austrian Banks (including Oberbank AG), developing ebanking web applications. I am part of the 3BEG middleware team, which develops and maintains the middleware. It contains the business logic that is used by the banks ebanking software, mobile phone apps, websites, and fat clients.

Worked as part-time freelance programmer (Java, web development, Amazon AWS, Linux, Java Script, Webs Services APIs).

I took a creative break in South-East Asia, which I used it to write a 90% complete book about Linux shell usage (230p), studying the stock and stock options markets (including writing and backtesting automatic trading algorithms), and explore various business ideas.

Co–founded website–based company BodyClocks together with one main partner (1y+). I am responsible for everything technical, including managing and participating in the website development (PHP, MySQL), as well as IT administration (Amazon AWS Cloud–based hosting (Beanstalk), Apache, Linux), while he takes care of business and marketing aspects.

Maintained and extended two Java Spring applications for the university as part of my PhD studies. Migrated one of them into Amazon AWS cloud: wrote automated and load tests, set up local Java Tomcat cluster, did required setup and administration.

Developed and maintained various Java EE applications for the university administration. Used JBoss, SVN, Maven, Ant, Hibernate, JSF, JSP, Linux, Eclipse, Oracle, DB2, ...

Taught mathematics, the installation and administration of Linux, and the usage of certain software development tools (mainly SVN and Trac). Completed 5 terms and held over 580 hours.

Developed a server application (Java) for managing sensor networks and programmed sensor nodes in C for the European Union sponsored research project CRUISE. This work served as basis for my master thesis.

Developed a Java library that extracts data from the API of the program Rational Rose to serve clients with it. The extracted data includes complete UML models and diagrams.
