Über mich
"Horizon, open science and all that" Daniel Spichtinger has been working on EU funded research projects since 2004. He has been involved "hands on" in proposal writing as well as dissemination of research results for several research consortia. From January 2012 to January 2018 he was employed by the European Commission as a member of the unit responsible for open access to scientific peer-reviewed publications and research data. As of September 2018 he is working in Vienna, Austria as an independent expert for EU research projects & policy and as a specialist for issues related to open science. He has a degree in English, media studies and history from the University of Vienna as well as a MA in Contemporary European Politics from the University of Bath, where he wrote his thesis on the involvement of civil society in EU research policy.
