Development of process concept of Methanol synthesis process which is suitable to off shore environment. H2-Mare project is Germany's one of the three flagship project of Hydrogen production. H2 Mare Project is a central contribution of the Federal Ministry of Educational and Research (BMBF). Project focuses on producing Hydrogen and capturing CO2 in offshore environment. From this producing power to x product is also included in H2 Mare Project.

The main aim of this thesis to produce methanol at low temperatures and low pressure. For this, a three-phase methanol synthesis process is used. The main goal of this thesis to the start-up of a pilot plant for this innovative methanol synthesis process developed at DBI Gas- und Umwelttechnik GmbH. After construction and commissioning testing of the pilot plant, methanol synthesis experiments at low pressure and low temperature are performed.
