Werdegang
Berufserfahrung von Denise Pedrosa
Bis heute 2 Jahre und 4 Monate, seit Feb. 2022
Field Application Specialist - Imaging Europe
Miltenyi Biotec B.V. & Co. KG2 Jahre und 4 Monate, Sep. 2019 - Dez. 2021
Intravital Platform Supervisor
Universitätsmedizin der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz
Key-staff for operating a high-speed spinning disk microscope (Nikon). Identification of disfunction and troubleshooting management, including all microscope parts. Establishment and implementation of new imaging techniques (large and small vessels, ex vivo thrombi, 3D tumor models). Highly collaborative with other teams by management and development of key in vivo experiments. Trainer of new users with focus in mouse surgery concomitant with project development and consultant for thrombosis models.
3 Jahre, Jan. 2019 - Dez. 2021
Postdoctoral Researcher
Universitätsmedizin der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz
Specialist in mouse thrombosis models in real-time, from acute to chronic phase, until thrombus resolution. Use of different approaches (intravital microscopy up to 6 hours and ultrasound techniques) to study the involvement of coagulation factors expressed in monocytes during venous thrombus formation and its resolution.
1 Jahr und 9 Monate, Apr. 2017 - Dez. 2018
Internship - Guest PhD student
Universitätsmedizin der Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz
Learning of acute/chronic thrombosis models in vivo with anesthesia management for intravital microscopy. The results obtained during the screening of specific mutants for coagulation factors led to a project to be developed as a Post-Doc in the same lab.
1 Jahr und 1 Monat, Feb. 2010 - Feb. 2011
Volunteer in science
State University of Campinas - UNICAMP
Learning of mouse handling and facility maintenance, blood collection, organs storage, pancreatic islets isolation for RNA, prepare of cryosections and histological techniques.
1 Jahr und 10 Monate, März 2008 - Dez. 2009
Scientific Initiation
State University of Campinas - UNICAMP
Human Genetics Lab (40 weekly hours). Mutation's screening of patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia. DNA extraction and digestion with restriction enzymes, PCR and sequencing. Project developed as a bachelor thesis.
1 Jahr und 2 Monate, Jan. 2007 - Feb. 2008
Scientific Initiation
Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation
Contaminants and Residues Lab (30 weekly hours). First step in science. Validation of a method for extraction of a synthetic growth regulator (Paclobutrazol®) used in mango cultivation by liquid chromatography (HLPC). The method was highly effective for paclobutrazol determination, both in mango and soil probes, which allowed to certify a mango free of growth regulator for human consumption.
Ausbildung von Denise Pedrosa
4 Jahre und 6 Monate, Aug. 2014 - Jan. 2019
PhD in Structural and Cell Biology
State University of Campinas - UNICAMP Brazil
Performance of physical exercise in mice as a prophylactic intervention for thrombosis and use of hyperbaric oxygen as a treatment. The combination of both interventions showed being more effective in reducing arterial thrombosis in mice. Preparation of cryosections for identification of markers involved in thrombus resolution by immunofluorescence. Project developed concomitant with teaching of bachelor students and mentoring of a master student.
2 Jahre und 10 Monate, März 2011 - Dez. 2013
Master of Science
State University of Campinas - UNICAMP Brazil
Gene expression analysis of regenerating genes in pancreatic islets of a spontaneous mouse model of diabetes type I. Full implementation of Real-Time PCR system (ExicyclerTM - Bioneer) for the research group.
