• Worked with the C57BL/6J mouse strain (metabolic parameters + sperm assessments) • Processed isolated testes for histology (H & E and immunohistochemistry), sectioned tissues with a microtome, tested various antibodies for optimal results; microscopy and analysis; • Prepared and purified testicular cells by MACS technology and FACS • Isolated and prepared sperm for RNA Sequencing • Exposed to Next Generation Sequencing and bioinformatics for analysis of sperm transcriptomics including GSEA and GO

• Screened primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) samples for mutations using direct sequencing approaches (independently performed PCRs, amplicon analysis, sequencing/alignment analyses) • Performed site-directed mutagenesis to create constructs to model the effects of disease-related mutations (including transformation, selection and verification of correct clones by restriction enzyme digestion, agarose gel electrophoresis, and sequencing; small and large-scale plasmid production)

• Participated in cowpea transformation process (including seed sterilization, Agrobacterium preparation and cultivation, and tissue culture preparation) • Grafted plants and analyzed transgenic cowpeas (performed DNA extraction, BASTA leaf painting, PCR, gel electrophoresis) • Greenhouse maintenance
