Since my appointment in Vienna, I am working extensively on quantum non-Markovian dynamics in hybrid quantum systems and on their efficient control. Our predictions have lead to the first realization of the “cavity protection effect” and long-lived collective dark states in a spin ensemble of nitrogen-vacancy centers coupled to a single-mode cavity.
1 Jahr und 8 Monate, Sep. 2010 - Apr. 2012
Postdoctoral researcher
University of Tübingen
The main topics of my research were devoted both to the optics of liquid crystals and to the statics and dynamics of granular materials which are predominantly plastic, incrementally nonlinear, preparation-dependent, and anisotropic under shear.
3 Jahre und 1 Monat, März 2008 - März 2011
Guest scientist position
Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems
My first research topic was concerned with the understanding of dynamics in disordered systems and systems with dc bias in the presence of nonlinearity. Another line of my research focused on quantum dynamics of few interacting bosonic particles in a lattice with disorder or dc bias treated in the framework of Bose-Hubbard model.

5 Jahre und 5 Monate, Apr. 2000 - Aug. 2005
Research and Teaching Assistant
University of Bayreuth
My research was devoted to the theoretical study of complex nonlinear light-induced orientational dynamics in nematic liquid crystals that results from simple instabilities, through low-dimensional chaotic behaviour, to spatiotemporal pattern formation.
2 Jahre und 7 Monate, Aug. 1997 - Feb. 2000
Junior Research Fellow
International Laser Center, Belarus State Polytechnic Academy, Minsk, Belarus
I was working on the problem of ultra-short pulse generation in cw solid-state lasers with mode locking. We found several interesting nonlinear phenomena such as a switch from femtosecond to picosecond generation, an automodulation regime, a breakdown of the soliton generation etc., which were experimentally confirmed.
