I am a scientific entrepreneur working in the area of physical artificial intelligence. I develop artificial lifelike materials that reproduce the function of biological neural networks. My goal is to create an artificial brain that would process information like real biological brains. This particular type of physical AI is expected to become The Next Big Thing after computer-simulated AI and Quantum Computers. As a director of Research and Development, I design and implement a research program aimed at the creation of artificial intelligence accelerators. I lead a small team of scientists and engineers. My work combines fundamental science, applied research, and frontier technology development. I take scientific research to the marketplace. I integrate science and business perspectives and transform research into commercial innovation. I have a unique management experience, connecting people from different backgrounds, and conflicting business interests and scientific perspectives.

    I fabricated heterostructures of oxide thin films for electronic applications by Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). I characterized their structural and electrical properties, fabricated basic integrated circuitry, performed corresponding cleanroom work.

    I have discovered a new kind of natural self-constructing epitaxial oxides on silicon. I have characterized crystallographic and dielectric properties of this new class of oxides. I have developed high-throughput structural characterization of the composition-spread samples (scanning XRD) by adapting high-brilliance synchrotron sources.

    I fabricated combinatorial thin films by PLD. I have developed methods for the combinatorial analysis of these samples. I characterized composition spread thin films by scanning high-throughput electrical characterization techniques. I have fabricated composition spreads of high dielectric constant (high-k) oxide materials. Expertise: High throughput fabrication and characterization of heterogeneous thin film. Scanning electrical measurement. Impedance, conductivity, capacitance. Microfabrication.
