Translational Biomarkers in Neurodegenerative Diseases - Priv.-Doz. Dr. Christian Johannes Gleockner, Prof. Dr. Thomas Gasser During my last position as postdoctoral researcher, I was involved in an industrial project, testing in vitro new potential LRRK2 inhibitors within the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. I have also been working on the LRRK2 interactome via proximity labelling, to better understand its biology and its possible implication in the development of Parkinson’s Disease.

At the NMI, I conducted research for my PhD project on developing a drug discovery platform for Pain Efficacious Treatments. Financed by IMI, the NGN-PET project focused on studying glia cells' impact on neuronal excitability and pain development. I isolated sensory neurons from mice cells on MEA and MF-MEA, managed lab responsibilities, and handled invoice management.
