Executive produced an independent feature film, called “Bekhal’s Tears”, about Kurdish women’s rights in post-Saddam Iraq, and became both an award-winner and a lightning rod for controversy throughout the MidEast region. It is the third film to be directed by an Kurdish filmmaker and the first film about Iraqi Kurdistan in the post-Saddam Hussein-era.
