Working in the IBM acquired company Aviation Industry Services (AIS) in diverse projects as Architect to transform the current as-is business into an IBM adopted one. Starting on basic infrastructure topics like changing the employee workstation to the IBM standard ones, to an other dimension of communicating it and doing the right collaboration.
As Process Integrator I was responsible in the Blue Print phase to define E2E processes for complex contracts. Lead a team to map the requirements onto the new SAP system. After the design I created the test scenarios, plans and supervised the System Integration Test. After go-life in I solved issues in production, conducted training and wrote missing documentation. My actual focus is on remediate remaining issues for STG. I was also Change Manager for the UK team to support their intake to the new system.
In a short international remote assignment on IBM's Solution Design method I was responsible to coordinate the adoption worldwide through applying appropriate means.

On a two years physical assignment in France I worked as Architect in the PSSC for IBM Hardware and Oracle Software solutions. In my daily work I conducted briefings, design workshops and education session, created documentation materials and assets. My focus was on Oracle VM and SAP Solutions leveraging Oracle RAC. Additionally I was leading in the second year the PSSC asset building strategy.

IBM IT Optimization and Service Management, Stuttgart-Vaihingen In that team of GTS, SWG and STG colleagues I was responsible as a System Architect to propose development plans for a client based on an assessment tool called ART. With that analysis we got his actual maturity level and in discussion with the client we created his development path and roadmap to get onto the next levels.
In the emerging new market of Grid Computing I was responsible as Grid Architect in a Business Development team to propose solutions to optimize resource usage. Clients set in Europe in all industries with an emphasis on automotive, financial and public. In that role I gave client presentations, conducted workshops, developed solutions, wrote articles and books and got Grid certified. Later we broaden the focus with virtualization in that team an included tools like the IBM Virtualization Engine.
Business development initiative from IBM and ISV's Ariba and i2 to tailor our Hardware and Software solutions for clients according to their needs. I was responsible as Architect for the solution design starting with the requirement analysis followed by Proof-of-Concepts to demonstrate IBM hardware capabilities.
First full-live-cycle project in the automotive industry for two years, where I was responsible for requirement gathering, architecture, design and implementation for a Lotus Notes Account Management system; having the Architect and Project Management team lead. Second I built a Centre of Competence for Lotus Notes for the client and acted as a Change Manager.
Started working for IBM in the Scientific Center Heidelberg as a Specialist for radio communication and application development. I built several First of a kind custom mobile solutions based on customer requirements. One solution called ARTour got transferred to IBM Raleigh, USA, a TCP/IP based communication platform using e.g. GSM and Packet radio.
