Über mich
As a wood scientist, I specialize in various areas such as wood physics, wood mechanics, wood chemistry, woodworking, adhesives, wood coating, wood and its engineering product, as well as the design and construction of wooden structures. In addition, during my bachelor's and master's studies, I deepened my mechanical and engineering knowledge by taking courses from other engineering departments. I decided to major in wood science 15 years ago, driven by my belief that wood was the ultimate sustainable material. I foresaw its increased utilization in the future for both people and the environment. Today, as environmental challenges intensify, the vital role of wood and its products reaffirm my choice." I deeply value each opportunity and challenge presented to me, seeing them as crucial lessons for overcoming future hurdles. I take great joy in sharing my experiences, always seeking ways to align my thinking with real-world applications.

Simulation Engineer
LEKO LABS
I am a simulation engineer for the acoustic and vibroacoustic aspects of LEKO LABS. This job includes analytical model development, finite element analysis, project study, national regulation study, product development, market study, and software backend development. I successfully predicted the acoustic performance of our facade while comparing the result with the experiment. Also, its structure was partially designed by me. It shows that I have the ability to manage different aspects at the same time.

3 Jahre und 9 Monate, Okt. 2018 - Juni 2022
Mechanical and civil Engineering
University of Montpellier
The topic of the PhD study was to understand the specific grain patterns for their effects on the physical, mechanical (dynamic), and hygro-mechanical aspects. During the study, I completed large-scale work on different disciplines and with many hardwood species. Also, I've done development for a torsional device aided by the finite element method, drawing the anisotropy effect on the shear modulus measurement.

Master of Science
National Taiwan University
In the master study, the finite element method was used for analyzing the mechanical and failure behaviours on the oriented strand board (OSB) while combining it with the analytical model for making a pre-processing analysis. This topic was on a microscopic scale (wood flake) to a macroscopic scale (self-made OSB). The mechanical and failure behaviour was also focused from the microscopic to the macroscopic.

Wood science
National Taiwan University
I joined the School of Forestry and Environment at the National Taiwan University (2009) because I deeply believed that trees and wood will change our future. The department called "the School of Forestry and Environment" is actually a Japanese academic system. It includes four groups of study: Biology material, Forestry environment, Forestry biology, and Resource conversation. Under such a framework, I was able to acknowledge the four disciplines while specializing in biology material (mech).
