Dr. Ilamathi Thiru

I am a talented and accomplished Research Scientist who is experienced in oncology, molecular biology and relevant areas. I have almost 7+ years of experience in various research projects including in vitro toxicity and efficacy studies, computational drug discovery tools including molecular docking. I am also proficient at writing scientific articles. ​I am skilled at biotechniques like ddPC, RT-PCR, ELISA, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy and histopathology. I have good confidence in culturing and maintaining eukaryotic cell lines and carrying out live animal model studies. Likewise, I have also used Schrodinger package extensively for drug designing and utilized other tools like Modeller, Autodock, Gromacs, SPARK etc. In my postgraduate research, which was full-time research for 3 years, I handled bacterial and yeast cells and adept in using analytical instruments like spectrophotometer, Atomic absorption spectrometer.
