• Independent UHV experiments studying SCILL systems. • Ar+ sputtering and O2 annealing to create well-defined surfaces. • Extensive training in FTIR experimentation, such as IRAS and temperature-programmed IRAS with CO probing. • Addition of films on crystals via physical vapour deposition. • Maintenance, repairs and ordering of machine components. • Narrow deadlines to coordinate work with other members. • Regular seminar presentations discussing current results.
