Karsten Knuth

As a Software Engineer at sipgate, I contribute to mobile communication improvements. My work included developing mobile telephony's core infrastructure (HLR, SMSC) using JavaEE. Currently I am designing new telephony features using Spring Boot microservices, Java 21, and Apache Kafka. I'm also involved in creating user-friendly interfaces for these features. My role combines teamwork and individual input in these projects.

At smartup solutions, I engaged in research and software development for BMW. My work focused on assessing similarities between mobile platforms and designing a unified API to facilitate easier app development across different platforms. This project was not only a professional milestone but also a crucial part of my diploma thesis, showcasing my ability to blend academic research with practical software development solutions.

At EADS, I was involved in developing software components for UAV systems. My key projects included the creation of an ARINC 653 compatible disk I/O library and a client/server library for asynchronous disk I/O.
