My client is a leading cloud-based insurance software platforms in the UK – a mature system written in .Net with a complex codebase, an API and various 3rd party integrations. As a consultant, I help their core team with various front & back-end feature developments, maintenance, regular discussions and advice on the latest technologies and business modernization opportunities, taking the most-complex tasks on a tight schedule.

Working in Dublin, Ireland, on a network inventory discovery platform using the latest Microsoft and open-standard technologies. This project requires extensive network knowledge on various protocols, as well as generic experience from all development phases, due to the non-homogeneous nature of the devices being scanned and managed.

Until recently I was involved in the development and maintenance of a complex enterprise web-based solution, utilizing the latest web technologies and standards using .NET 4.0 and the new Asp.Net MVC platform. Using the Agile methodology, I am in direct contact with the clients. The extensive use of new technologies, tools and techniques is the crucial part that is keeping me in the team.

Working in the headquarters of Telerik in Sofia, this was my first big project using the .NET platform. Since the nature of the product was to connect and communicate with various applications (ORM engine), I was exposed to almost all of the latest .NET technologies, including WinForms, WPF, Silverlight, ASP.NET WebForms, ASP.NET MVC, and, of course, LINQ. I did a lot of unit and integration testing as well.

Working in a company specialized in the development of applications optimized for mobile devices, I attained valuable experience using leading mobile platforms, including Symbian, Android, BlackBerry and J2ME. Me and my team have implemented a number of projects for a world-class IT companies, using the latest technologies available for the mobile market.

Working with C++, QT and various network protocols, I was responsible for the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of a multi-platform desktop multi-threaded application.

Working in Jena, Germany, I was involved in the development and support of one of the biggest E-commerce platforms in Europe. Exposed to this highly professional environment, I was able to quickly understand the fundamental web technologies and dive deep into the core modules of the system.
