I work together with a team of educators, developers and project managers to design the university’s new eLearning hub. I’m tasked with designing a landing page, and supporting pages, as well as creating the user interface and user experience for the eLearning experience and online modules. My role also includes crafting a responsive, interactive prototype of the learning interface and preparing and executing user tests.

As a freelance UX/UI Designer I craft user interfaces for responsive websites, landing pages and apps. Working with clients in the US, Australia and Europe I develop personas, create wireframes, taskflows and user journey maps. I developed print, as well as digital promotional materials such as ads, brochures, posters, newsletters, social media graphics and branded apparel. I regularly crafted visual communication materials that supported awareness and volunteer recruitment campaigns on campus and online. In this role it was essential to use my creativity to come up with new concepts and ideas while adhering to Curtin University’s strict brand guidelines.

I was tasked with providing creative artwork to enhance and support the paper’s editorial content. Working in a busy news room with tight deadlines and a variety of different internal and external stakeholders I designed graphics across all sections of the paper.

As a freelancer for Marketforce, The Brand Agency, Gatecrasher Advertising, Adcorp, Campaign Makers and 303 Lowe I created press advertisements, flyers, brochures, annual reports and prepared press-ready files for offset and digital printing

I created press advertisements for recruitment, automotive and real estate clients, submitting press-ready files to national newspapers, magazines and trade publications. Other tasks included high volume image editing, with an emphasis on deep-etching.

Additionally I managed the artwork and image archive and submitted artwork to national and overseas printers and suppliers, while checking prints and proofs of calendar, stationary and jigsaw puzzle packaging artwork.

In this role I designed stationery, folders, brochures, catalogues and created press-ready artwork files for offset printing. Additionally I performed high end scanning and image editing duties, managed output of artwork on film and created imposition layouts. I also assisted with traditional plate making (offset printing) and trained graphic design apprentices.
