Silicon Allee's mission is to be the brand that represents the Berlin tech community to the entire world and is the community-driven voice of Startups and technology companies in Berlin. I worked on enhancing the reputation and image of a well known car company across social media platforms. The idea was to keep the tone light-hearted and write sharp, quirky copy alongside promotional pictures.

Researching cities and writing about them for a tourism website. Writing creatively and succinctly is important, adhering to company styles and guidelines.

I worked on a Corporate Journalist internship writing extensively about Market Logic's marketing software components to promote the company as part of its official launch. This was a technical journalism post which required a sound understanding of each software component in order to write about them in layman's terms, which I managed well. Clients included Coca Cola, Allianz and Newell Rubbermaid.

I worked as an intern during the official launch of this innovative advertising agency, sending press releases to key figures in the industry and promoting the company far and wide on social media.

I interviewed (researched/recorded/edited) well known Scottish cultural icons including Ian Rankin/Fish/Stuart Braithwaite about their favourite books/films/art/music for a section of the daily afternoon arts programme The Culture Studio.

Content Assistant across on various feature programmes across Radio Scotland and Radio 4, most notably Scots Asians Decide which focussed on the voting intentions of Asians living in Scotland ahead of the referendum on Scottish independence. Researching/organising/interviewing.

Assistant Producer on Generation 2014 - a project encompassing 50 teenagers across Scotland who contributed to BBC output ahead of the referendum on independence. Co-ordinated TV, radio and online broadcasts. Updated Twitter account daily. Produced radio features focussing on the young people's artistic interests with well known Scottish artists. Marketed and promoted the project across the BBC worldwide.

Researched, listened online to and closely summarised Scottish parliamentary debates and meetings for the BBC Scotland Democracy Live website. I had to follow very strict protocol with regard to grammar, accuracy, turns of online political phrase. (Maternity cover).

Worked primarily on evening drivetime programme Newsdrive - also Good Morning Scotland (breakfast news programme) and The John Beattie Show (lunchtime news programme). Involved newsgathering, writing cues/briefs, arranging guests, monitoring agency and TV news, sourcing audio from TV and radio outlets Studio Assistant Manager work - managing incoming and outgoing lines of communication during broadcasts to ensure interviewees all went on- air.
