    Lead researcher of the retina project of the Keirstead Research group at UC Irvine with the goal of developing human embryonic stem cells to transplantable 3-D sheets of retinal progenitor cells for vision restoration. In addition, continued research on fetal retinal sheet transplants.Currently working on preparations for further clinical trials of retinal sheet transplantation outside U.S.

Research was recognized with 5 prizes in different categories in “Research Louisville” in the years 1999-2000.
