• Requirements analysis, drafting and specs of concepts for miscellaneous aviation equipment • Work as an interface for Authorities (e.g. EASA) and OEM (e.g. Boeing, Airbus) • Work with various teams, integrators and customers to identify, define and document test requirements required for environmental, electrical/EMC and flammability testing • Define qual requirements and monitor, coordinate, manage all activities related to qual • ADOA Chief Engineer signatory delegation • Resp. for CE/FCC Cert.

• Conceptualize, design and set up of project related avionic/electrical/electronic systems. • Design and development of wiring diagrams. • Selection of equipment, components and materials. • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines for design and installation requirements. • Provide engineering support during the execution of detailed design, production and integration. • Prepare the system related specification, testing and certification documentation. • Customer and vendor management.

• Perform design and development tasks, incl. compilation of wiring diagrams regarding electrical/electronic/special mission systems and their modification/installation in the Part 23/25/27 A/C. • Compile and review of compliance documents, test plans/reports and miscellaneous certification documents that lead to accomplish the STC/AMC. • Support the integration of newly installed systems incl. EWIS in the A/C. • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System and Design Assurance System.

• Perform designing tasks regarding avionic/electrical/electronic systems and their installation in the Part 23/27/CS-VLA/CS-VLR A/C. • Compile and review of compliance documents, test plans/reports and misc. certification documents that lead to accomplish the STC/MCA. • Perform the System Safety Assessment (SSA) and Analysis incl. FHA and FTA to demonstrate the compliance with § 23/25/27/29.1309 for the newly installed systems. • Support the integration of newly installed systems incl. EWIS in the A/C.

STUDENT JOB • Conformance testing mobile phones using various system simulators to ensure compliance to 3GPP & customer specific requirements. • Update the operating/testing SW of mobile phones & test systems. THESIS • Development of the Test SW using Agilent VEE for measurement of power consumption & battery life in idle/talk mode. • Automate the complete test process using Visual C++. • Analyse the test results to determine the factors that affect power consumption & battery life of mobile phones.
