Handling all aspects of obtaining, enforcing+organising patents, freedom-to-operate analysis, patent validity, patentability of inventions, EP+US infringement proceedings, oppositions+nullity actions, due diligence, contract management. Set up IP strategies, proposing tactics, making decisions for successfully managing the Groups international patent portfolio.

Responsible for capturing+protection of inventions, filing+enforcing patents, designs of tobacco, packaging, filter, snus, heat devices, e-cigarette, manufacturing etc. Advising R&D teams worldwide, marketing, engineering, management on all Intellectual Property (IP) aspects with head Offices in Hamburg and Bristol. Managing IP monitoring+ internal information service, inventors remuneration, contract matters, freedom-to-operate risk analysis, patentability+validity checks, oppositions, nullity actions.

Capturing+protection of inventions, filing+prosecuting patents mainly of drug targets for central nervous system diseases. Managing+adapting patent portfolio to the business strategy+activities. Monitoring+evaluating third party rights, preparing freedom-to-operate analysis+ advising R&D team+ management. Conducting+evaluating patent searches. Handling the inventors remuneration, budget+deadline control, reviewing contracts. Conduct internal seminars in patent law. Support due diligence processes.
