Michele Formica

Postdoctoral research fellow with Prof. Hoveyda at the University of Strasbourg (previously Boston College). DPhil completed with Prof. Dixon at the University of Oxford with research focused on synthesis and development of new bifunctional iminophosphorane (BIMP) superbase catalysts and their application to enantioselective methodology. Additional experience in developing transition metal catalyzed methodology utilising palladium (Prof. Nakao), rhodium (Prof. Willis) and nickel (Dr. Ball) as well as in drug discovery and lead optimization acquired during a one-year industrial placement at Chiesi Farmaceutici in Italy.
