My biggest professional challenge to date, to create a sustainable online business and it’s inherent technology from the ground up in a highly competitive market. iMotorbike is a classifieds marketplace exclusive for motorcycles, parts and accessories for the Asian market. At the moment, it’s present in both Indonesia and Malaysia. I’m responsible for developing and maintaining the technical infrastructure as well as the product and company strategy along with the CEO and UI/UX leader.

I was responsible for supervising the technical teams and the company’s technological strategy in the biggest e-commerce / marketplace platform of the country. Reporting directly to the CEO, I worked closely with the senior management team, being the product team the one with the most active collaboration in order to improve processes, developing better products, boosting the quality and the delivery time.

Having been responsible for several software development teams with special focus on online payments and checkout over the regional platform. I acted as a bridge between the development teams and their product counterparts, analyzing requirements and translating them to technical specifications, assisting the technical teams in the technical design of the implementation and it’s dependencies across departments and their teams, I would then supervise all the integrations until their delivery.

Technical leader of the online payments and checkout, I supervised all the integrations and maintenance of over 20 third party integrations for 5 countries in South East Asia along with supervising the performance, output and quality of the technical team.

Performed several technical integrations, being most of them related with online payments, checkout and discounts. I moved to Vietnam in order to assist, coach new employees and handover technical knowledge from the previous team from Portugal.

As a software developer, I integrated several features eventually leading me to be assigned with the main responsibility of integrating and maintaining all checkout / online payment related topics. I passed through several projects and teams, having participated in the core development of rocket internet’s mobile API, used in hundreds of startups around the world. This path culminated in my integration with Lazada team.
