Rafael Moczalla

My name is Rafael Moczalla. I am currently a PhD student in the DES Group at the HPI & I am changing my career to an applied direction in the industry. I already have part time work experience in the industry & also full time work experience. My main strengths are in software development, analysis & optimizations. I worked 2 years part time as junior software developer in an agile team. We developed a cross platform app for Android, iPhone & web with a backend database in AWS. I learned programming languages like Java, C++, Python, Erlang & TypeScript. During my following 2.5 years as a research associate I was working in an international team on analyzing & optimizing distributed real time systems. During this time I used C++ & Java for my work. In my free time I develop my own tools & Android apps that make my life easier. One of the Android apps is still in the Google App Store & helps people to prepare for the so called FKN exam. Finally, I speak fluent German, English & Polish.
