Rainer uses both his musicianship and skill as a comedian to engage a business audience and explain how a conductor manages and inspires their team. Managing departments to create a finished product (the performance) that will satisfy its customers (the audience). Specific discussion points: teamwork, communication and motivation. This act is unique in corporate entertainment. Rainer appears on stage with his orchestra (8-25 players) corrupting the great works of classical music with hilarious results. The pieces they play are recognised by everyone, from The William Tell Overture to Land of Hope and Glory. A popular highlight is when Rainer uses members of the audience to participate in a fun conducting competition. Also offered: light background music. 20-90 minutes.

'All Classical Music Explained' (ACME) - a simple and stupid guide to questions such as 'why is organ music so boring?'; 'what does a conductor actually do?' and 'how to clap in the wrong place and mean it'. 'Rainer Hersch's Victor Borge' - Rainer plays the role of both Borge and himself as he tells the stories of both men with charm and wit. First produced in Montreal, Canada, the production has since been seen over 150 times including a season in London's West End. 60 minutes-2hrs.

Rainer Hersch studied piano with John Clegg at Lancaster University. He continued with three years of orchestral conducting at Blackheath Conservatory under Denise Ham, including masterclasses at the Royal Academy of Music with János Fürst and George Hurst.
