My responsibilities were to ensure a successful implementation of Festival procedures and operation of all front-of-house activity. Next to Q&A sessions I also had to efficiently load in and out a theatre as well as the preparation for the next program. With the ability to keep the overview but still pay attention to details, I was trusted to manage some screening rooms on my own so that the rest of the team could focus on different areas.

I was part of the Gala Theatre Team, the Filmmaker Liaison and the Filmmakers Lounge. Over all I had to ensure that the filmmakers were warmly welcomed with a nice first impression of the AFI FEST and that all the guests have a great experience at the festival.

As a Guest Coordinator my main task was to navigate and guide people to their seats, organise the crowds in the ticketing lines among many other festival responsibilities.

Completed professional hands-on development in cinema production, the art and technique of visual storytelling, including the requisite skills to write, direct, film, and edit several short films.
