Ricardo Kawase

I am leading the "New Business Data Team". The goal of the team is to create new data enabled solutions to generate additional sources of revenue for mobile.de. The team consists of data engineers and data scientists.

My role as data scientist at mobile.de is to support the data-team and the company in understanding our data, thorough analysis that leads to practical feature engineering, and implementation of machine learning models to support our smart products such as fraud fighting, price prediction, user behavior prediction and personalization.

My role as data analyst is to support and reinforce business decisions based on the observation and understanding of user data. I am a dedicated analyst in the Trust and Safety team at mobile.de, and our main goal is to provide users a great experience, by ensuring safety, trustworthiness and quality. Based on the outcomes of data analysis, our team is able to propose and develop state-of-the-art initiatives that annihilates fraud, drastically reduces ATOs and improves overall quality.

I am currently working on research on the areas of Web Annotation, Recommendations, Semantic Web and Intelligent User Interfaces.

Partner/Director of Thera Solutions company. The focus of the company continued the same (development of corporative portals and WEB solutions), but the responsibilities as partner/director of a small company resulted in new experiences: Solutions modeling, project management, team training, administration, accounting among others. Work focused on the development of WEB solutions using the Lumis Portal Suite. Great experience with the following technologies: HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, Javascript, SQL and Oracle.

The company has its own software to create corporate web portals and WEB solutions – Lumis Portal Suite. Work focused in the development of the Lumis Portal Suite and in the development of Web portals. Great experience with the following technologies: HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, Javascript, SQL and Oracle.

Work focused in the development and maintenance of the controlling system for the Gym Estação do Corpo in Rio de Janeiro. Experience with developing frameworks Power Builder and Delphi.
