At RISE my focus was agile software development - in particular introducing Scrum as pragmatically as possible in a variety of organisations. As part of this I've worked as product owner, scrum master and in the oft neglected area of test automation ;-)

Introduced SCRUM for the rapid development of software under extreme conditions. Within a few months a combined internal and external team delivered new call routing software, where the traditional waterfall model had failed. As a solutions architect for Call Center and IVR, I focused on finding synergies and a common architecture after the merger of mobilkom and Telekom.

At Genesys I worked as a pre-sales engineer in the EMEA Voice Self-Service overlay team, specialising in contact centre automation. I was instrumental in taking the intelligent Customer Front Door (iCFD) from a concept to a key Genesys product. Other responsibilities included developing voice and video demos, presenting our solution suite to customers, training our presales engineers and partners, and consulting for key projects.

As the Senior Solutions Expert in the Voice and Video group at mobilkom austria, I led the introduction of web based technologies for the development of IVR services and the unifying of the IVR architecture around VoiceXML browsers. I also gained experience as a solutions architect, software developer, project manager, user interface designer, ASR/TTS specialist and VoiceXML consultant.

My responsibilities at Alcatel included testing different speech recognition and synthesis systems (Nuance, L&H, Philips), optimisation of recognition parameters, creating grammars, writing phoneme-based dictionaries, designing dialogs, project consulting and developing Natural Language Understanding (NLU) applications.
