Rudolf has over 7 years of experience in supporting decarbonization and energy sector reform in Southern Africa. He has a breadth of experience in the field of decarbonization, specifically in the fields of energy sector reform in support of just transitions, urban development, infrastructure finance, project preparation, environmental and social management frameworks, and China-Africa development cooperation. Prior to joining The Carbon Trust, Rudolf worked as Portfolio Manager in the energy space under the Green Economy focal area of German Cooperation in Southern Africa. He has in-depth knowledge of the economic and social dynamics underpinning African Countries’ Energy Transition and has a keen interest in the potential for green hydrogen development in Southern Africa.
