I work on the development of floating solar systems for the marine environment. I specialize in bridging the gap between evaluating environmental conditions and providing inputs to engineering design processes using a range of methodologies such as numerical modelling, satellite remote-sensing, and in-situ environmental measurements.

Conducted research in the field of Climate Modelling. Planned a symposium on Climate Change in East Africa with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. - Constructed thermodynamic models of the Earth’s Atmospheric Boundary Layer using Python. - Planned a symposium on Rainfall & Climate Change in Semi-Arid Regions of East Africa in support of the Humboldt Foundation’s International Climate Protection Fellowship programme.

- Carried out Multiphysics Finite Element simulations for a range of engineering problems. - Developed software in Matlab that utilised the COMSOL Application Programming Interface to automatically generate advanced contact models of sub-sea cables. - Worked with nonlinear material models for simulating biomedical implants. - Generated model geometries & designs using Computer Aided Design packages. - Meshed three dimensional models of the upper respiratory tract for nasal airflow modelling.

Managed daily operations of the gas turbine facility’s Thermal Barrier Coating department by working closely with a team of 15 shop floor technicians. - Completed technical qualification projects for new coating & repair processes within the centre’s portfolio. - Dealt with scheduling, resource allocation, supply chains and interfacing with other repair departments. - Generated quality control paperwork such as standard operating procedures & process maps for LEAN & Six-Sigma initiatives.
