Design and development of a tamper-proof cash register software based on the BSI TR-03153 standard for Android and iOS. The centerpiece of the solution is a secure element due for certification by TüV as a German value-added tax law compliant solution. In addition, the software stack includes a mobile platform integration layer, a verified cryptography implementation of BSI’s PACE algorithm and a containerized cloud backend for cryptographically verified permanent storage of value-added tax records.

Hybrid mobile software architecture and development support for one of their main end-user products. The solution stack involved Android and iOS native applications with React-based mobile content including a novel interface layer between them to provide native platform capabilities (such as location and device sensor access).

Very busy as the development team lead for a mobile native apps team mash of Android and iOS software engineers. Embedded in an agile workflow in close collaboration with product management and UX to realize the brand's mobile bookings vision. Runs and manages the fully automated Continuous Integration infrastructure based on Jenkins as well as web-based developer code collaboration and SCRUM board / roadmap planning tools. Deployed many auxiliary services as Docker containers.

Primarily responsible for driving the product maintenance and security update process of the SUSE Cloud product based on OpenStack. Focused on the enablement of SUSE technologies and security aspects inside the OpenStack project. Frequently representing our engineering team at customer sites and assisting our Sales Engineers / Pre-Sales in setting up OpenStack pilots with SUSE Cloud. Long-standing experience with agile development methods.

Packaging and testing software for openSUSE Linux as well as bug reporting and minor bug fixing

Software developer and contributor to various parts of the KDE project, mostly to the KDE PIM and KDE Games projects. Submitting patches, bug- fixing and minor documentation

Engineering the Open Build Service package and product building infrastructure (for SLES and openSUSE). Primary focus on developer APIs, web and CLI interfaces. Core reviewer and maintainer of the openSUSE project. Creator and maintainer of the Continuous Integration infrastructure for a range of openSUSE projects.

Student mentoring of a Summer of Code project related to KDE PIM. Guidance and support regarding software development with Qt4 and KDE in C++ as well as with SyncEvolution

Development of a graphical tool to visualize and compute signal-flow graphs (Mason graphs) written in C++ with Qt4

Successful participation, development of a synchronisation solution based on SyncML for the KDE PIM suite
