I substitute teach in AISD middle schools and high schools in English, Language Arts, and Journalism classes. I am certified to teach English and Journalism in grades 6-12.

I managed the office including bookkeeping, payroll, payroll taxes, and all tax compliance.; managed the development program, recommending a new fundraising model which more than doubled the organization's annual income, ran an earned income program (publications program), ran special events, an annual giving program,endowment, special & major gifts, grantwriting; a five-year fiscal sponsorship, and a high level mutiple-year giving society (with three-year pledges which paid 100% in its 1st cycle)

I represented clients primarily in marriage dissolution, representing them in mediation, hearings, and trial. I also managed the business of the firm including bookeeping, payroll, payroll taxes, and tax reporting.

As an attorney with McCool, Sullivan, & Lilly, I represented clients in property tax matters, business formation, drafting of wills, marriage dissolution, and probate of estates. I also served as the firm's first Managing Partner overseeing the hiring and supervision of employees; the bookeeping, payroll, payroll taxes, and tax reporting compliance; and personnel benefits such as health insurance.

My first job as an Associate Attorney at Popp & Ikard, a property tax boutique law firm, was to write the brief in a Supreme Court of Texas case. The court decided the case in favor of the appellants, our client. The case resulted in the largest reduction of property taxes in Texas at that time. Following that case, I wrote and helped write numeous appellate briefs and several trial briefs; & represented clients in negotiation and settlement of their property tax disputes.

I served the Court as a Briefing Attorney to Justice Bob Gammage my first year following law school graduation. In that role, I attended oral arguments and post-argument meetings of the judges and briefing attorneys and completed research, legal memoranda, and draft opinions for Justice Gammage. I also read and edited draft opinions authored by other Justices and per curiam opinions.
