    My first job as an Associate Attorney at Popp & Ikard, a property tax boutique law firm, was to write the brief in a Supreme Court of Texas case. The court decided the case in favor of the appellants, our client. The case resulted in the largest reduction of property taxes in Texas at that time. Following that case, I wrote and helped write numeous appellate briefs and several trial briefs; & represented clients in negotiation and settlement of their property tax disputes.

    I served the Court as a Briefing Attorney to Justice Bob Gammage my first year following law school graduation. In that role, I attended oral arguments and post-argument meetings of the judges and briefing attorneys and completed research, legal memoranda, and draft opinions for Justice Gammage. I also read and edited draft opinions authored by other Justices and per curiam opinions.
