    Romsey, a registered as Fairtrade town. The group promoted Fairtrade and supported the town with its status. To participate in Fairtrade fortnight in 2012, I organised a Fairtrade event in the Romsey Abbey (first of it's kind) it consisted of a guest speaker, a fashion show and a show case of Fairtrade products, the event was a great success and we welcomed over over 200 spectators to the Romsey Abbey on the 28th February 2012.

    Liaising with local businesses, local government, police, volunteers, the Chamber of Commerce to organise and deliver the annual event: carols in the market square, light switch on and late night shopping events. Key achievement: introducing the lantern parade to the town, bringing the community together and supporting Romsey Transition Towns. In workshops the community could attend to create lanterns to be lit and on a lantern procession around the town.
