Lead the international vendor finance segment with an annual volume of €500 mill. as General Manager through the financial crisis. Redefined strategy to answer swift structural changes in the overall financing environment with major changes in partner and customer base. Full accountability for divisional P&L and 7 Leasing Companies (partly regulated). Downsized structures and number of companies to stay profitable despite of significant market and portfolio turbulences.
Restructuring of the German capive finance company "Print Finance GmbH" with an international portfolio of €200 mill. turning this company into a leading captive finance unit. Implementation of a state-of-the-art portfolio management software. Supervised local captive finance companies of the Heidelberg group (USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Korea, Eastern Europe) in the respective board of directors. Lead regular on-site credit and compliance audits in the international network.
Transformed a sales driven, unregulated vendor finance business of a manufacturing company to comply with increasing regulatory requirements and risk management needs for a global credit portfolio of up to €1.5 bn while maintaining sales support and service level. Structured and managed an asset backed securitization for the US portfolio under US GAAP and IAS resulting in a $500 mill. revolving facility and respective cash flow improvement.
Ownership of a portfolio of small to mid-size companies with credit approval authority of €150k.
