    I lead the Professional Doctorate - Policing, Security and Community Safety. I also convene and lecture on undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Radicalisation, Research Methods, Criminology. I have recently published the book: Nationalism, Militarism and Masculinity in Post-Conflict Cyprus, Palgrave, 2019. My research is interdisciplinary and studies political determination, militarism, gender, radical movements and their impact on long-dragged conflicts.

  • Expert Consultant: Peace and Security.

    Centre for Sustainable Peace and Democratic Development

    • Evaluated end policy proposals: Peace arrangements and Security, supporting Cyprus Peace negotiations. • Provided suggestions and recommendations on which international organizations and how could become involved in building a new security architecture in transitioning to peace and after in Cyprus.

  • International Consultant: Peace and Security

    Berghof (Berlin), SeeD (Cyprus) and InterPeace (Geneva)

    Project directly supported the UN Peace negotiations on Cyprus in Geneva 2016/7. • As a team, we provided Research Findings and Policy Recommendations on the security dimension of the negotiated reunification plan. • I lead the ‘Multi-Communal Security Force’ for the United Cyprus project/constituting one of the five projects of security dimensions. Aimed: to turn the ethnically opposing armies into bi-communal mission.

  • Consultant to the Minister of Defence of Cyprus

    Cyprus MInistry of Defense

    Lead and Designed a new policy dimension: Army and Society. • Based on my PhD and additional research incorporated key elements of social sensitivity in existing and developing policy. Aimed to build a more constructive relationship with society in a post-conflict setting through an alternative understanding of defense contributing to society. • Thoroughly supported by communications and campaign strategy.

  • Country Assessor, Transparency International- 2015 Global Defence Index

    Transparency International

    Evaluated levels of integrity and corruption by assessing state defence establishments in Cyprus. Assessment based qualitative and quantitative research. Underwent several rounds of review including by Cyprus Ministry of Defense. The work formed a constituent part of the Worldwide Defence and Security Programme Policies for tackling corruption and strengthening transparency were proposed to Cyprus
