PM in a (CRO) with expertise in bone and cartillage research on biomaterials and drugs related to human orthopaedy. Planning and performance of preclinical research projects, guidance of personnel. Coordination and planning of milestones. Execution of sub-projects: Preclinical studies in goats; synovial fluid sampling and Intra articular appl. of trial substances (knee joint), surgeries in rabbits (Anterior cruciate ligament transsection), Anaesthesia of goats for MRI diagnostics.

Implementation of consultations for clients. Emergency shifts. Diagnostics and treatment of diseases in pet dogs, cats, and rabbits. Performance and interpretation of laboratory diagnostic (haematology, urine) and x-ray analysis. Surgeries: castrations/sterilisations in dogs, cats and rodents,wound and abscess surgery, hernia umbilicalis in dogs, resection of digits. Anaesthesia in dogs, cats and rodents with injectables and gas anaesthesia.

Development of novel drugs for the control of trematode infections in animals and humans. Literature research and writing of a study plan. Implementation of preclinical lab techniques in the Schistosoma mansoni – mouse model for drug development: in vivo, in vitro. Internship at Novartis Pharma, Basel, Switzerland. 3 day training in rat-microsurgery: femoral A. + V. catheterisation and blood sampling for pharmacokinetic drug studies.

Initiation of a NGO: Strategic project planning, budgeting, International fund raising. Initiation of a Veterinary clinic in Greece. Generation of cooperation agreements with stakeholders. Realisation of a catch-neuter-release project of free roaming dogs and cats. Surgeries and anaesthesia. Performance of a doctoral thesis with the Vetsuisse faculty of Berne.
