Dr. Waiswa Waanaseti

-Currently involved in the project "Power-to-MEDME R&D - accompanying research for the large-scale development of the production of green methanol and DME in Chile". -Responsible for the independent implementation of research work. -In charge of developments and trends in African countries dealing with (green) hydrogen, training programs and curricula.

Worked as a research consultant under Women Educational Researchers of Kenya (WERK), I carried out baseline and mid-line assessment on most vulnerable children access and completion of primary education in marginalised Kenyan counties. I trained research assistants, conducted data collection, carried out initial case study analysis, compiled field reports and supported the WERK administration in monitoring and evaluation of the project

Main subject areas taught: 1. Psychological sciences such as developmental psychology, educational psychology among others 2. Human growth and development 3. Early childhood teaching methods. In addition to lecturing, I successfully supported various university departments in invigilation of university exams, mentorship of undergraduate students, lecture preparations and tutorials

Taught and successfully prepared certificate and diploma student teachers for their national exams. Major tasks that were successfully accomplished included preparing teaching resources, setting and administration of college exams. Main subject areas for my lecturing were: 1. Educational psychology 2. Developmental psychology 3. Research Methods 4. Language activities. I also served as the Chaplain for the Catholic students association as well as in- charge of the college teaching timetable.

Fields of Study: - Legal basis of social professions, - Peculiarities of child and youth welfare law, - Deepening child day care, - Subsistence benefits (SGB II and SGB XII)

Successfully graduated with a PhD in Education (Children's Literacy) with focus on Home Literacy Environment (HLE) and how it relates to children's reading.

Thesis: 'Relationship between parent-teacher communication and parental involvement in pre-primary school children's reading in Mumias east sub-county, Kenya.
